Yesterday I went and met up with the Sullen bmx team at DA Compound and shot some footage and photos. They were holding a park contest for all who wanted to participate and try and earn a top 3 position in each class to get the invite to Woodward West. With that being said you know dudes were throwing down because that camp can be pricey. Not only an invite to Woodward but some great sponsors donated some products to the top 3 winners as well like S&M frames, tires, bars and bar ends stuff like that which the younger non sponsored riders were amped on.

TJ Ellis was finally back on the bike after 4 months of pain and suffering of nerve damage in his ankle but that didn’t stop him from throwing down on the dirt jumps, I caught him getting loose a few times and even spotted him busting flips. Joey Cordova was all over the place sessioning all aspects of the park while trying to figure out if he wanted to enter the contest ( i guess when your big time you can enter a contest last minute ) which led to him watching on the side lines. Larry Edgar on the other hand was absolutely killing it earning him a second place finish, Larry practically lives there so he loves competition. When someone is busting and everyone is oooing and awwwing expect to see Larry bust bigger. The day was a great day as I saw Sullen everywhere, stickers everywhere, kids sporting it on there helmets and bikes, it was great to see that DA Compound owner Shane supports the movement.
